This course is designed for first-year BSc students of the Biological Department. It introduces students to academic English essential for pursuing university studies. Exercises based on authentic materials from high-impact scientific publications and videos from the public educational resource Ted-Ex develop students’ reading, listening and speaking skills for academic purposes. The course also lays the foundation for the disciplinary vocabulary. All the materials needed for the sessions are posted on the Moodle platform.
