This course is designed for second-year BSc students of the Biological Department. It introduces students to academic English essential for pursuing university studies. Exercises based on authentic materials from high-impact scientific publications and videos from the public educational resource Ted-Ed together with IELTS-format tasks develop students’ academic reading, listening, speaking and writing skills. The topics go along with the Department’s major subjects and include Physiology and What is ICT? All the materials needed for the classes are posted on the Moodle platform.
