This course is designed for first-year BSc students of the Biological Department. It aims to enhance students’ General English skills essential for daily, business and professional communication. Original coursebooks and exercises based on videos from the public educational resource Ted-Ed develop students’ reading, listening and speaking skills. The topics include Cultural diversity, Social relationships, Managing to be successful, Chemistry and modern life, Language and intelligence, Mathematics and society. All the materials needed for the classes are posted on the Moodle platform.
